The group consists of a dedicated and enthusiastic group of botanical artists, students and former students associated with the botanical art classes of the Chicago Botanic Garden. The group is guided by the parameters and goals of the American Society of Botanical Artists www.www.asba-art.org The ASBA is one of the premier organizations promoting botanical art in the world. 

Consistent with the aims of the ASBA, the group works to further the interests of botanical art, conservation science, botany and horticulture at the local level. And to emphasize the beauty and importance plants play in our lives by educating, promoting and exhibiting members work in collaboration with local institutions.

The group has been in existence for 13 years and meets at the Reed-Turner Preserve the last Saturday morning of each month. Members of the public who are or wish to engage in the practice of botanical art are most welcome. The Annual Membership Fee is $25.00.
